Multifractal Segmentation of Remotely Sensed Images

Remotely sensed images are typically highly textured. In this work, segmentation of such images is performed based on local/global regularity criteria within the frame of multifractal analysis. Numerical experiments show that such an approach indeed yields meaningful results.
