A methodology for using least squares minimisation in gradient optimisation of electrical devices

This paper explains how to integrate least squares minimisation to analytical models of electrical devices, calculating the gradient as strictly as possible, in order to perform optimisation. The method is precisely exposed. The example of the approximation of a flux curve in a switched reluctance motor is taken.
