It is shown, in the context of the Thermomechanics of simple materials with memory, that frame indifference and, equivalently, rotation invariance are necessary consequences of the laws of classical Mechanics and the definition of the stress matrix and heat flux vector.

Nel contesto della Termomeccanica dei materiali con memoria, si dimostra che il principio di indifferenza materiale e quello, equivalente, di invarianza rispetto alle rotazioni sono conseguenze necessarie delle leggi della Meccanica classica e delle definizioni di matrice di stress e di vettore flusso di calore.
