Viene esposto il punto di vista dell'autore rispetto ai modelli matematici dell'elasticità ereditaria. Particolare rilievo viene dato all'influenza della topologia dello spazio delle funzioni ammissibili sui concetti fondamentali della teoria.

The point of view of the author with respect to mathematical models of hereditary elasticity is expounded. Particular emphasis is given to the influence of the topology of the space of the admissible functions on the basic concepts of the theory.
