We consider a Signorini problem (unilateral problem) with Coulomb friction in elasticity, under a small strain hypothesis. For proportional loading, the problem is equivalent to the static friction one introduced by Duvaut and Lions, [72]. The general problem has been numerically treated through an incremental formulation in Raous et al., [88].
