In this paper, iterative algorithm for approximating a solution of a split equality minimization problem and split equality fixed point problem for demi-contractive mappings is introduced. Using our iterative algorithm, we state and prove a strong convergence theorem for approximating an element in the intersection of the solution set of a split equality minimization problem (SEMP) and the solution set of split equality fixed point problem (SEFP) for demicontractive maps. Our result do not require any compactness assumption and do not require the prior knowledge of the operator norm. Our result complements and extends some recent results in literature.
