Where Ma First Fails

If $\theta$ is any singular cardinal of cofinality $\omega_1$, we produce a forcing extension in which MA holds below $\theta$ but fails at $\theta$. The failure is due to a partial order which splits a gap of size $\theta$ in $\mathscr{P}(\omega)$.
