Ck surface approximation from surface patches

We study the problem of constructing a smooth approximant from a finite set of patches given on a surface defined by an equation x3 = f(x1, x2). As an approximant of f, a discrete smoothing spline belonging to a suitable piecewise polynomial space is proposed. Error results and numerical results are given.
