We prove that the Fenchel-Nielsen flow on the Teichmüller spae of a surface, with a suitable parametrization, extends to a non-trivial flow on Thurston's boundary, that is, on the space of projective measured foliations on the surface. The flow on the space of projective measured foliations is the quotient of a flow on the space of measured foliations, of which we give a description.
