Scapolite occurs as large idiomorphic crystals forming pseudoradiating aggregates in veins in the monzonitic rocks. It is associated with zeolites (analcime, natrolite and scolecite), calcite, ferroan chlorites, K-feldspar, sphene and apatite. The samples were examined by x-ray diffraction and I.R. absorption spectroscopy. The results define the mineral as a scapolite term, containing and OH as essential constituents, Cl and as trace. The relationships between physical data and composition are quite satisfactory.
