A non-abelian tensor product for Leibniz $n$-algebras is introduced as a generalization of the
non-abelian tensor
product for Leibniz algebras introduced by Kurdiani and Pirashvili. We use it to construct the universal central
extension of a perfect Leibniz $n$-algebra.
